Youngblood Summer 2012: Mighty Shiny Lip Gels and Luminous Creme Blush Review and Swatches

Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics' new summer line is perfect for a carefree day in the sun! Featuring their new Mighty Shiny Lip Gels ($25.50) and Luminous Creme Blush ($27), this line can create an extremely simple makeup look that is gorgeous. This line also includes "Minerals in the Mist," which I hadn't heard about, but it looks very nice as well as a facial mist for those hot summer days. I've got 2 of the lip gels and one creme blush to share with you today! The two Mighty Shiny Lip Gels that I received are in Stripped and Displayed. These are super-shiny glosses with some pretty shimmer! I find them to be stickier than what I'm used to, but surprisingly I like it because it makes it last longer! They have 5 other shades- 2 that are catching my eye are exposed (grape) and confessed (watermelon). These colors are sheer and very juicy looking!Stripped is a clear gloss with multicolored shimmer. I love how this looks in the tube with all of the bubbles! It is gorgeous! When swatched on the lips, Stripped doesn't show off too much glitter, which I like. This gloss IS mighty shiny! It's definitely the most shiny gloss I've owned and now I'm obsessed. I love to wear this over my lip stains, which are also perfect for summer!Next, the lip gel in Display is a red-orange with golden shimmer. I wasn't sure I would like this one due to the shimmer, but I really like it because it isn't frosty and overpowering.Just like Stripped, Display is an ultra glossy gel. This one gives a pretty pink tint to the lips with subtle shimmer throughout. I love to wear this over some of my favorite orange lipsticks!Youngblood's Luminous Creme Blush in Pink Cashmere is shockingly the first cream blush I've EVER used. Since I have oily skin, I always thought I couldn't wear cream blushes. The formulation of these are similar to a cream to powder formula, so it isn't very shiny, which I like a lot! I had another cream blush by them stashed away thinking I couldn't use it, but now I think these will be a summer essential. I like to layer a powder blush on top of it sometimes for more staying power.Pink Cashmere is a gorgeous pink color (duh) that is matte, and kind of has some peachy tones on my skin! It is nicely pigmented and really nice. I'm definitely a changed woman when it comes to cream blush, these don't leave me with a bad taste in my mouth like I thought it would. If only they had a bright orange...YES I'm obsessed! :)And the best part of all, Youngblood is paraben and cruelty-free...so everyone can enjoy their great products without any guilt! :) Let me know if you'll be picking any of these products up! Trying these products definitely added a few more of their products on my wishlist! Yay Youngblood!**This post contains  products that I have received for free– for more information, please read my Disclosure Policy**
