Sneak Peek: #LuckyFABB 2013
Hi guys! Reporting here from Lucky Magazine's #LuckyFABB today...I was editing photos from yesterday and couldn't resist posting a few as a teaser! If you're impatient like I am, check out my live-tweets from the event! Above is actress Drew Barrymore. If you are a beauty junkie like me, you know about her new beauty line at Wal-Mart, Flower Beauty. I've already reviewed several products from the brand so I was thrilled to hear her speak. I'll chat more tomorrow, but Drew is humble, enthusiastic about the blogging community, and super genuine.Another exciting fashionista that spoke was Kelly Osbourne, who stars on "Fashion Police" with Joan Rivers. It was cool to hear her speak because I really enjoy her style (similar to her gal pal and my ultimate girlcrush, Miley Cyrus) and I've followed her career from her family's reality show back in the day! I remember she got a small heart tattoo and then I told my dad I wanted one too. I think I was 12. Anyways, she is hilarious, has a great knowledge of fashion, and rocks that blue-gray-lavender hair, that I believe she coined "blavender."If you're a fashion follower like I am, I hope you have some sense of who Rachel Zoe is. Zoe is a stylist turned fashion designer (and now a blow-out bar owner) who I'd consider the most famous celebrity stylist at present. Mandana Dayani is the 2nd in command at RZ and spoke during the "Creating a Voice of Authority" panel with other lovely ladies. I enjoyed hearing her story about how she started as an New Jersey Law Offices of Anthony Vecchio, and she gave helpful tips for the question I asked. I was happy to see her as well, as a longtime viewer of "The Rachel Zoe Project" on Bravo. One of my favorite panels was "Your Voice, Louder," because I was familiar with the majority of the people involved. I'm a big fan of Eva Chen, former Teen Vogue beauty editor/social media maven, along with Elle and Blair Fowler, who I have heard speak at BeautyCon last year, and have watched their videos for years. I met them back in 2009 and it's truly amazing what these ladies have done for the YouTube beauty community. They knocked down the wall of hobby-vloggers and really monetized the heck out of the platform, which is pretty inspiring to me as a YouTuber myself. And last but not least, Betsey Johnson. I can't even think of one word to describe Betsey, she is so intriguing. She is a fireball of energy at 70 years old. She is very humble about the unfortunate bankruptcy that happened last year, and was very endearing when talking about her grandchildren and daughter, Lulu. We got a sneak preview of her new show on the Style Network, premiering on May 12th. Be sure to tune in...I know I will!Overall LuckyFABB is really making me inspired. I'm motivated to turn my blog into more than just a hobby. I'm motivated to create different content! I'm just happy. Hope this was fun to read for those of you who were unable to attend. Look out for my upcoming posts that will cover each day of LuckyFABB separately. I have tons of notes to share with you! If you're impatient, check out Lucky Magazine's recap of day 1!
